Maplewood based International Printing Company, Ideal Jacobs Corporation, in conjunction with the Township of Maplewood, is proud to announce the creation of the Greenhouse Gases Reduction Incentive Program (G.R.I.P.).
Greenhouse gases are contributing to global warming. While there are carbon credit programs addressing this problem, there is nothing available for participation by individual homeowners and small businesses. G.R.I.P. addresses this need by implementing the “Ideal Green Credit” (IGC) system which will pay this previously ignored segment of our country for their efforts to utilize various types of solar products, renewable fuels and other technologies that reduce the consumption of petroleum-based fuel.
Ideal Jacobs Corporation is offering a maximum of $3000 worth of Ideal Green Credits to the Township of Maplewood residents who help reduce the overall carbon footprint of the town. An IGC is produced as per the chart below and is payable when an applicant fills out the appropriate online form on our website, www.idealjacobs.com/ and submits corresponding evidence. Upon acceptance, Ideal Jacobs Corporation will send them a check based on $5.00 per Ideal Green Credit.
Maplewood residents and companies will create Ideal Green Credits by:
1. Utilizing energy saving products:
Energy efficient windows 3 IGC/$1,000.00 spent
Energy efficient lighting 1 IGC/$1,000.00 spent
Home insulation 3 IGC/$1,000.00 spent
Energy saving appliances 1 IGC/$500.00 spent
Ceiling fans 1 IGC/$100.00 spent
Hybrid automobile 5 IGC/car
2. Installing alternative fuel producing systems:
Active Solar Electric System 7 IGC/$2,000.00 spent
Solar hot water heater 7 IGC/$2,000.00 spent
Passive Solar-daylighting 10 IGC/$10,000.00 spent
Wind power 10 IGC/$5,000.00 spent
3. Conserving energy (show a reduction of use via energy bills). For every 25% reduction in your energy bill from the previous year for a 12-month period, 5 Ideal Green Credits will be earned.
We will accept proofs of purchase that occurred on or after January 1, 2007. Proof of completion of work is also required. Systems and construction can only be counted once.
A list of participants, their credits and how they were generated will also be provided on this website. This project will be launched on Maplewood Township Green Day, October 11, 2008 and will continue until December 31, 2008 or when the $3000 is dispersed.
